Our resin materials, used in various applications such as in electric vehicles, improving the durability of
concrete structures, and as components in water treatment filters, play a significant role in advancing SDGs. In
the automotive sector, we are enhancing electric vehicle (EV) performance through the development of
energy-efficient capacitor resins. This contributes to the proliferation of EVs, reducing the depletion of
energy resources and mitigating the impact of global warming. Additionally, the use of EVs as emergency power
sources during disasters contributes to improving societal resilience.
For building materials, we provide lining materials, joint compounds, and injection materials used in concrete
structures. These resin materials contribute to extending the durability of buildings, thereby reducing the
frequency of required reconstructions. Construction involves significant CO2 emissions; thus, our innovations
contribute to reducing these emissions, enhancing both economic and environmental sustainability.
In water treatment filter technology, we address challenges such as water pollution caused by industrialization
and population growth, ensuring the provision of safe water. Our development of suitable impregnating agents and
adhesives for various membrane technologies improves the quality of treated water, contributing to a better
living environment. SANYU REC continues to provide products and solutions that support sustainable societal

At SANYU REC, we actively contribute to reducing our customers' Scope 3 emissions through environmentally friendly product development and sustainable energy usage. Our "Biomass Urethane Resin SBM Series" significantly reduces CO2 emissions compared to conventional urethane resins. Additionally, we are reducing CO2 emissions through solar power generation at multiple facilities, including the roof of our company building, and purchasing CO2-free electricity, thereby contributing to the reduction of Scope 3 emissions throughout our customers' supply chains.

We offer the "Biomass Urethane Resin SBM Series," utilizing environmentally friendly biological resources. Developed for automotive and electronic components, these products feature waterproofing, moisture-proofing, insulation, and heat dissipation properties. Biomass urethane, primarily made from plant-derived materials, offers sustainability not found in petroleum-based resources, as plants absorb CO2 during growth, reducing environmental impact. As of March 2024, one of the four products in the SBM Series has achieved a biomass ratio of 80%. Replacing conventional urethane with our product reduces the environmental impact related to CO2 emissions.

We provide resins for essential components such as capacitors used in electric vehicles. As the development of EVs progresses, enhancing capacitor performance is crucial for long-distance travel. SANYU REC is committed to developing resins that improve capacitor performance, thereby furthering the proliferation of EVs, reducing energy resource depletion, and mitigating CO2 and other pollutants contributing to global warming. EVs can also be used as emergency power sources during blackouts or earthquakes. Hoping to enrich people's lives, we continue to innovate new resin technologies.

Our products are also used in construction sites, for example, as lining materials, joint compounds, and injection materials applied to concrete structures. These materials bond concrete with metals and carbon fibers, preventing corrosion and deterioration. In Japan, the number of concrete structures that have exceeded their 50-year lifespan is increasing. Reconstructing these structures would generate a significant amount of CO2. Our products can extend the lifespan of concrete, contributing to resource sustainability and reducing CO2 emissions to curb the progression of global warming.

SANYU REC's resins are essential for "water treatment filters" critical for the use of safe and clean water. Inside water treatment filters, there are multiple membranes made from various materials. We offer impregnating agents and adhesives that are most suitable for the characteristics of each membrane material, achieving water treatment filters with low leaching, excellent workability, and adhesive properties. We have obtained NSF certification, an international standard for water purifiers, and receive high praise from various companies. Water and air pollution are global issues. SANYU REC is committed to contributing to solving the world's water problems by continuing our research.
